The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), is a global security standard which applies to any organization which stores, processes or transmits cardholder data. Evervault offers several solutions for reducing your PCI scope.
3D-Secure
3D-Secure (Three-Domain Secure) is an online payment security protocol designed to reduce fraud and provide an additional layer of authentication for online transactions. It involves three domains: the merchant's acquirer domain, the card issuer domain, and the card networks such as Visa or Mastercard. When a customer makes an online purchase, 3D-Secure requires them to complete an additional verification step with the card issuer, typically through a password, biometric authentication, or a one-time passcode sent over SMS. This process ensures that the cardholder is indeed the person making the transaction.

Card Account Updater is a service offered by major card networks to automatically update card-on-file details. Card Account Updater ensures that merchants always have the latest card information (like updated card numbers and expiration dates) for their customers. This service helps maintain seamless recurring billing and card-on-file transactions without needing the customer to manually update their card details.

Get StartedNetwork Tokens
Network Tokenization is a standard introduced by major card networks to tokenize card details. Network Tokens replace sensitive card details (like the 16-digit card number, expiration date, and security code) with a unique identifier generated by a card network (e.g. Visa or Mastercard). This token is used to process payments without exposing actual card details, thus adding a layer of security. For merchants, this can also result in higher authorization rates and lower authorization fees.
